Review
We agree that linen can look absolutely stunning on window coverings! With a history dating back thousands of years to ancient Egypt, linen boasts many exceptional properties. It is extremely strong and becomes even stronger when wet. It doesn’t retain moisture and dries very quickly. Linen fabrics don’t pill, are non-allergenic, repel insects, and are UV-resistant. Additionally, the organic fibers in linen are recyclable and biodegradable. It’s no wonder that modern consumers are seeking out pure linen in response to a greener, more sustainable outlook for their homes.
Fabric Maintenance
Feel free to machine dry your linen fabrics or textiles, but stick to low temperatures. Remove them from the dryer while still slightly damp to prevent stiffness, then hang or lay them flat to finish drying. Linen-blended fabrics become softer and more absorbent with each wash. Wash linen at low temperatures using lukewarm or cold, preferably soft, water. Use a gentle machine cycle and mild detergent to protect the fibers.
